Contacts, tags, and imports

Organize leads and customers with free-form tags, CSV import and export, merging, and the trash.

Leads and customers, nothing more

Contacts have exactly two statuses — lead and customer. There's no pipeline machinery to maintain; everything else is done with tags.

Tags do the segmenting

Tags are free-form: type them on any contact and they're created on the fly (vip, infrastructure, conference-2026). Filter the contact list by tag, and target broadcasts at tag combinations. Imports and lead forms can tag everything they bring in.

The timeline

Every contact page shows a full history: when they were added, edits, emails in and out, broadcasts received, form submissions, notes, tasks, and opt-out changes. It's the answer to "what's our history with this person?"

Import and export

  • Import — CSV with column mapping; duplicates matched by email are skipped or have blank fields filled, your choice. Every import is recorded so you can see what it brought in.
  • Export — the contact list exports as CSV respecting your current filters; admins can export the entire account (contacts, notes, tasks, conversation transcripts) anytime.

Duplicates and the trash

Merge a duplicate from the contact page: history moves over, blank fields fill, and the duplicate's email sticks as an alternate so future email from it still matches. Deleting a contact moves them to a 30-day trash first — restorable with one click before permanent deletion.
