The shared inbox

Receive email as a team: forwarding, triage for unknown senders, assignment, and internal notes.

How email reaches your inbox

Every workspace has a unique inbound address like [email protected]. Set up forwarding from your real support address (say, [email protected]) in your email provider, and every message lands in your shared Inbox with threading intact — including attachments.

Known senders and triage

Email from an address that matches one of your contacts opens a conversation linked to them, and the exchange appears on their timeline. Email from an unknown sender is held in the Triage tab, where you can create a contact from it, link it to an existing contact, or delete it if it's junk. Nothing pollutes your contact list without a human deciding.

Working as a team

  • Assignment — conversations can be assigned to a teammate; being assigned notifies you in-app and by email.
  • Internal notes — leave rich-text notes inside the thread; teammates see them, the customer never does.
  • Open / Closed — close a conversation when it's done. A new reply from the customer reopens it automatically.

Replying

Replies send from your workspace's shared address and are signed with your name and personal signature — like a helpdesk, customers see who helped them. Long quoted histories are collapsed in the thread so you read only what's new.
